Erica Ellis is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated in August of 2021 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Prior to obtaining her MSN, Erica earned her Associates of Science in Nursing from Lurlene B. Wallace Community College in 2012 followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology from Troy University in 2018.
Erica has spent the last five years working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in acute-care inpatient psychiatric facilities that serve individuals across the lifespan.
Erica joined Alabama Psychiatry in 2021 with the intentions of providing mental health services at a local geriatric inpatient unit and outpatient. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based, empathetic assistance to those with disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and schizophrenia.
When Erica is not caring for patients, she can be found spending time with her husband and their three children. She also enjoys traveling, horror movies, and women’s college basketball.
