My name is Jacob Scott and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed my master’s degree at the University of Colorado in Pueblo.I specialize in medication evaluation and management for adults 18 and older.
If you are ready to speak to someone but don’t want to feel pressured or judged, I would like to meet you. It’s important to me and to the success of our collaborative relationship that you feel seen and heard. I want to help you achieve your goals. Our collaboration will be built on honest communication about what concerns you, and if medications might be helpful. I don’t believe medications are the answer for every emotional or behavioral issue that we are dealing with, and I also truly believe therapy is often a critical component of long-term well-being. Together, we will develop a plan that works best for you.
I am originally from Huntsville, AL but recently spent several years in Colorado. It was great but I am happy to be back in the south, closer to family.
“Always kind and courteous. Been a big help to me and always values my input on my recovery and my getting back to everyday living.”

“Dr. Scott was thorough and easy to communicate with. He was also a very good listener and asked pertinent questions and made sure I understood the use of my medications. He made me feel comfortable talking about my issues as well as my medications. I was very pleased with my session.”
“Jacob Scott is great! So helpful, professional and understanding.”
“Alabama Psychiatry – Montgomery employs some of the most dedicated, caring, and professional people I have ever received treatment from. My life has drastically changed for the better since receiving treatment from them.”
Jacob Scott, I found to be friendly and right on key. He listened to my complaints without judgment. He engaged in all conversations and was concerned about my feelings. He was very interested in my medication results, making sure I was getting enough sleep. He didn’t mind adjusting the medication, like some doctors. Like his staff said, “I think you’ll like Jacob Scoot. He’s easy to get along with. If you ask me, he comes highly recommended. You will be missed, Jacob Scott.
He’s outstanding. He makes me feel heard and he seems to genuinely care about my issues. As a permanently and totally disabled combat veteran, it’s nice to have a better option than the VA and Jacob is hands down the best option for me.
I think Jacob Scott displays a very caring demeanor. He is both professional and knowledgeable. I am confident that he has only my well-being in mind when I speak with him.
