Alabama Psychiatry

Jerusha McClendon, LICSW

I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve your therapy needs at Alabama Psychiatry. I believe in empowering patients to discover, learn, and adapt to the situations that create the most distress in their lives. Oftentimes, life transitions, such as loss of family members or loss of physical health, can be the most painful things to endure in adulthood.

As a clinical social worker providing psychotherapy for adults with mental health diagnoses, I treat individuals that may need more intensive treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or trauma. I completed my master’s degree in Social Work at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and worked as a social worker.

Working together, we collaborate to create a treatment plan that addresses your needs and goals. Then, we spend 60 minutes in session either weekly or bi-weekly to complete that treatment plan and learn coping strategies to address situations that may come up in the future.
