Alabama Psychiatry

Julie Bond, PMHNP-BC

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I received my Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. I also hold nursing degrees from Samford University and Purdue International. I am a trained therapist and have a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University.  I specialize in the treatment of adults and adolescents (ages 16 +) with a variety of psychiatric concerns, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management.

My practice is focused on providing psychiatric care that supports the holistic wellness of the mind and body. Medications are a helpful tool to support a person’s efforts to heal but are not the only tool I recommend. I believe in an integrative approach and may suggest lifestyle changes as well as complementary and alternative medicine approaches when I think it will benefit someone. I am a big believer in patient education regarding treatment options and maintain that people are the experts on their lives and healthcare needs. I work with people where they are and value sharing my experience and expertise in order to mutually agree on the best path forward.

“Staff is really nice and understanding!”

“I feel you provide a safe and unbiased environment and show empathy towards my issues. Going beyond your purpose to promote healing is refreshing.”

“This is the best practice that I have ever gone to…and I have been to many. They really listen to you and make you feel comfortable. I am presently seeing my nurse practitioner online (if it works on my end) or by phone. It doesn’t quite have the personal touch of being there in person but they are making it work well.”

“This place is amazing and Mrs. Bond is the best psych. She is kind, considerate, and caring. She really has help me through rough time in my life.”
