Kellie Vaughn is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In 2012, she graduated with honors and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing. After working for 3 years as a nurse on UAB’s Neurosurgery and Stroke Step-Down Unit, she returned to school and obtained her graduate degree in nursing with a concentration in Psychiatry and Mental Health from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Kellie started at North Shelby Psychiatry as a student nurse practitioner under the supervision of Dr. David Faber and began working there shortly after graduating from UAB in 2018. Kellie specializes in the treatment of children over the age of 6 years old as well as patients of any age on the Autism Spectrum or with other special needs.
Kellie and her husband grew up in Tuscaloosa and moved to Shelby County in 2015. They are the proud parents of one daughter and 2 cats. In her spare time, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, road trips, reading, and shopping.
