Stacy Stuart is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who obtained her MSN from the University of Alabama Birmingham. She originally graduated from the University of Alabama with her BS in Human Environmental Sciences in 2007, and began her career at UAB as a clinical researcher. She worked for several years in multiple specialties including Gastroenterology/Hepatology, Ophthalmology, and Oncology before returning to nursing school. After obtaining her ADN in 2015, Stacy worked as a trauma/ER nurse, and then as a labor & delivery nurse while completing her BSN at UAB in 2018.
Stacy and her husband are the proud parents of a 3-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. She is an avid college football fan and can often be found at the lake or with a book in hand.
Stacy is pursuing her doctoral degree at Auburn University where she will focus on postpartum depression and anxiety. She is passionate about this population and acknowledges the disparities in care evident in current medical practice.
Stacy is accepting new patients at our Pelham office. She also sees patients at Shelby Baptist hospital in 2 acute inpatient units as well as hospital consultations. She has experience treating depression, anxiety, dementia, bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD, panic disorder, and personality disorders
