Maggie is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to patients of all ages and across the lifespan. As a PMHNP, Maggie serves not only as a mental health provider, but also as an advocate for her patients, and an educator to families and caregivers. She values interdisciplinary collaboration for a holistic, patient-centered approach to mental healthcare. She has special interests in the integration of diet, self-care, therapy, and relational health to help patients develop positive coping strategies and an overall healthy lifestyle.
Before entering her current role, Maggie spent 7 years at her local hospitals caring for patients in acute and intensive care units. During this time, she recognized her love for mental health in caring for patients with mental illnesses while fostering strong clinical skills enhanced by her natural ability to build trust with patients and families. She looks forward to incorporating this experience with evidence-based guidelines, personal observation, and intuitiveness to provide for her patients the best care possible.
When she is not working, she enjoys reading, cooking, dancing, and creating memories with her children. She loves spending time with her family and friends swimming, barbecuing, camping, and visiting various educational or adventure-filled venues.
