Dymond Callen is a native of Dayton, Ohio who pursued her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Tuskegee University (RN/BSN). Dymond then went on to work in the field of nursing in various capacities including serving as a nurse supervisor at a home health agency, case manager and medical surgical nurse. In these varying roles, she witnessed firsthand how lack of access to care and diversity can have substantial effects on healthcare outcomes. Eager to continue her pursuit for higher learning to best serve underserved and misunderstood populations, Ms. Callen was accepted into the University of Alabama Birmingham where she obtained a dual degree in Public Health, as well as Physician Assistant Studies. Upon becoming certified a Physician Assistant Dymond set out to pursue her passion of serving the underserved in the form of mental health care and is looking forward to the journey.
When Dymond is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, shopping, and eating new foods.
