Amber D’Olimpio is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated with honors in May of 2021 from the University of Alabama where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Prior to obtaining her MSN, Amber earned her Associates of Science in Nursing from Troy University in Montgomery in 2015 followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2019.
Amber has spent the last five years working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the emergency department (ED), where she acquired an expansive knowledge of acute psychiatric crises throughout the lifespan. Time spent working in the ED has contributed to her great appreciation for the necessity of psychiatric services.
Amber joined Alabama Psychiatry in 2021 with the intentions of providing mental health services in her hometown of Alexander City, as well as to those living in the Sylacauga and Montgomery areas. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based, empathetic assistance to those with disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), and schizophrenia.
When Amber is not in the office, she can be found spending time with her husband and three precocious sons. She also enjoys horror movies, a good book, and has a strong partiality to hot coffees and teas.
