Ambreia Young is a full-time board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the new JBS Craig Crisis Care Center in Birmingham. She received her Associates Degree in nursing from Jefferson State Community College in 2015, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2018, and Master of Science Degree in nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 specializing in psychiatric nursing. She has previously worked at UAB Hospital for over 5 years in the Emergency Department and over 6 years working at Children’s of Alabama in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
She received her psychiatric clinical experience from the Jefferson County Jail and at UAB Hospital in the Emergency Department and looks forward to serving individuals who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis.
