Alabama Psychiatry

Anna Glenn MSW

I earned my Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in social work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in just three years (2021). While I was earning my bachelor’s I worked as a crisis line shift manager at The Crisis Center, mental health technician at Hillcrest Behavioral Health, and a residential instructor with adolescents who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities at The Learning Tree. When I was at The Learning Tree, I built a strong rapport with one of our students. I made the decision to file for guardianship and thankfully it was granted.

I began pursuing my Master of Social Work from the University of North Alabama. While I was in graduate school, I interned at The Crisis Center working with sexual assault survivors, Behavioral Health Group working with adults in recovery and lastly I interned at Jefferson Blount and St. Clair Mental Health Authority providing therapy to adults with mental illnesses. While in graduate school I maintained working full time at Behavioral Health Link as a crisis counselor, The Trevor Project as a 988 Lifeline Specialist, Jefferson Blount, and St. Clair Mental Health Authority as a group leader. Once I graduated, I worked for Perspectives Ltd. as an Access Center Counselor. Now I work with Alabama Psychiatry as a therapist at Etowah County Detention Center

In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my son, watching documentaries and shopping.
