Dr. Cornelius graduated the University of Alabama School of Medicine and University of Alabama Hospitals and Clinics Psychiatry Residency. His areas of interest and expertise are Addiction Medicine, Addiction Psychiatry, Addicted Health Care Professionals, Medication Management in Adult Inpatient and Extended Care Treatment and Recovery Programs, International experience in the field of Alcohol and Drug Treatment, including developing, implementing, and monitoring a variety of adult inpatient and partial hospitalization alcohol and drug programs, Treatment of Dual Diagnoses, Chronic Pain and Addiction.
Since graduating University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Cornelius has worked across Alabama and Georgia as a Clinical Director, Medical Director, and Head of Psychiatry at Woodridge Hospital in Georgia, and for more than 25 years as a Consult Psychiatrist and Addiction Psychiatrist at Bradford Health in Warrior Alabama.
Dr. Cornelius is married with five children – in his free time he enjoys gardening, traveling, camping and adventurous river open water expeditions.
