Karli M. Martin, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (AL #2237) and a neuropsychologist. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a formal concentration in Neuropsychology at Albizu University in Miami, Florida in 2019. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Southern Arizona VA, with specialized training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and long-term therapy of complex clinical mental health presentations. Dr. Martin completed her post-doctoral work at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the departments of Neurology and Psychology.
Through her prior clinical experience, she attained extensive training in evaluation of various clinical and medical presentations including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Surgical Evaluations, Cancer, Vascular Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and related brain and medical disorders. Additionally, she has a specific interest in Autoimmune Disorders and how patients experience pain.
Dr. Martin specializes in neuropsychological evaluation and conducts psychodiagnostic evaluations and provides therapy with a focus in distress tolerance, mindfulness, and behavioral activation. Dr. Martin is currently practicing as a clinical neuropsychologist at the North Shelby Psychiatric Services in Helena, AL, and is welcoming new evaluation and therapy patients.
