Katie Manuel is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her graduate and undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing, graduating with her BSN in 2017 followed by her MSN with honors in 2023. Over the past six years, she has acquired a diverse clinical experience in working with adult and geriatric populations within a wide array of psychiatric and acute care settings. Katie recently joined River Region Psychiatry Associates in 2024 and is looking to expand her new patient intake in Sylacauga, AL.
Katie is passionate about establishing a deep understanding of her patients and helping them uncover their individual strengths. She prioritizes the therapeutic alliance between the patient and the provider and encourages her patients to be active participants in their mental health care. Katie values a wholistic approach, combining psychotherapies and medication management to address the psychological, social, and biological aspects of mental health care.
When out of the office, Katie can be found spending time with her family, attending a hockey game, cooking, or doing just about anything outdoors.
