Kimberly is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wallace State Community College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. With 20 years of experience in adult psychiatric patient care, she has worked in hospital, community, and inpatient settings. Kimberly’s interest in psychiatric care grew as she witnessed her patients stabilize and reintegrate into the community after receiving treatment. She combines evidence-based guidelines with her clinical expertise.
Kimberly’s focus is on promoting well-being through assessment, prevention, and education, as well as the diagnosis, medication management, and treatment of mental health and dual diagnosis. She values building a rapport with her patients and empowering them to effectively manage their treatment goals.
She is enthusiastic about joining the Alabama Psychiatry team and contributing to the organization’s success. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys quality time with her family, reading, shopping, cooking, and traveling.
