Lindsay Shipman is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Lindsay previously worked at UAB Hospital for 7 years as a staff nurse and assistant nurse manager. Lindsay looks forward to working in the JBS Craig Crisis Care Center where she will be specializing in care for patients who are actively experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Having had clinical experience in the Jefferson County Jail, Lindsay was able to see how lack of access to mental healthcare can lead to negative outcomes for patients. She looks forward to bridging this gap while serving the community. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys trying new foods and spending time with friends.
