Steven Bria is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has earned nursing degrees from Southern Union State Community College, Jacksonville State University, and the University of South Alabama. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Steven worked for 10 years in numerous Birmingham-area emergency departments as a staff nurse and charge nurse. He has also worked as an adjunct clinical instructor for prelicensure nursing students completing their psychiatric mental health clinical hours. Throughout his time in the emergency department, he was able to care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses as well as psychiatric needs. Steven will be working at the Vestavia Hills outpatient clinic with a focus on the adult and geriatric patient populations.
